Offering weekend classes, MRI School of Minnesota’s comprehensive MRI Technologist Certificate Program has a didactic (theory) component consisting of 400 hours of classroom courses, and a clinical component consisting of 1000 hours of practical training at select externship sites in the Twin Cities. Students must arrange their work schedules to work around clinical availability 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) 9am to 5pm, and have a reliable means of transportation to travel within a 50-mile radius in the Twin Cities.
The program is developed to prepare students to operate MRI equipment safely and competently to produce diagnostically acceptable images. Having completed this course, the student will have sufficient knowledge and skills to work in a private MRI center or hospital MRI department as an MRI technologist. This course provides the required theory and practical knowledge for the student to successfully pass the MRI national certification examination of the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
Our 12-month Certificate Program is open to students who demonstrate academic seriousness and an inclination towards the health sciences. Upon successful completion of our Program, students will receive our School Certificate of Completion, and will be eligible to sit for the ARMRIT national MRI registry certification examination.
We also offer Continuing Education workshops and courses.
